5th December 2022 - Make in Odisha

It’s always great pleasure visiting Bhubaneshwar and I usually get positive vibes of Bangalore from this wonderful city.

This time my visit was for Most flagship event of Government of Odisha, Make in Odisha Conclave – 'MIO' and it was most exciting and learning experience. A well-organized event and I thank entire team of Startup Odisha to put up a such a great event.

It was also honor to share the dais with Honorable Minster Shri Pratap Keshari Deb Hon'ble Cabinet Minister, MSME Department and Shri Saswat Mishra, IAS Principal Secretary, MSME Department, Odisha to receive award on behalf of ACIC GIET UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION and Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET), Gunupur GIET University Gunupur. Also, thank you Startup Odisha team for rewarding and motivating our two student innovators with cash prize.

The weeklong stay was very fruitful and had great opportunity to meet some of great enabler of the startup eco-system. This is being a best learning experience for me to know about the Odisha startups culture and eco-system.

It pleasure meeting Dr. Bishnu Prasad Mishra, Director R & D, GITA and glad to know about GITA’S activities in fostering technology innovation and entrepreneurship and startups. Thank you for your time Sir .

Meeting and listening Mahadeo Jaiswal was great learning on how IIM Sambalpur is working on the grass root innovation and fostering building sustainable community. His golden words on entrepreneurship “INNOVATION TO INVOICE “was well articulated and appreciated.

It was pleasure meeting with Dr. Sukant K. Mohapatra for his valuable time and some great insights about the eco-system and appreciate his approach on open for collaboration and partnerships.

Starting with MIO and other some great meeting with stakeholders namely Sushanta Kishore Khuntia and team from APICOL, Govt. of Odisha to discuss possible synergies and collaboration with Govt on various schemes including AEPS. Glad to know about some of the flagship programs by Govt.of Odisha at the most promising sector Agriculture.

Visiting Centre for Innovation and Incubation, Utkal University was another great experience. Thank you Dr. Manoj Bal Dy. CEO and Ankeet Kumar for hosting us and also taking us through the beautiful innovation center. A great interaction on best practices adopted for startups and about latest technology adoption in the center. Interacted with startups in assistive technology space.

Also wanted to thank Ayaskanta Mohanty and entire Team of TiE Bhubaneswar for the wonderful gift hamper :)
